Jimmy Young was born in Trinidad with a love for music. At a young age, he had made up his mind to accept his destiny and moved to the USA. From there, touring on the road with his 10 piece band, he spread his gift and love of music around.

The singer / songwriter, now living in Canada,  first became serious about recording after his friend and mentor of many years
Ben E. King (Stand by Me) introduced him to Bob Gallo.

Jimmy and Bob began working as a team in the late 80's and Bob has produced all of Jimmy's works. In the late 80's and 90's Jimmy had three (3) songs charted,
"Love Sweet Love",
  "
Two Lovers", and the cover of Bad Company's "Can't get enough of your love" ,
wich was charted #20 nationwide.

Jimmy's busy schedule included opening for such greats as
Ben E. King, The O'Jays,
The Temptations and Sam Moore (Sam and Dave) to name a few. He has also appeared on the Much Music's dance show "Electric Circus" which is televised nationwide in Canada.
